Farm Gate and Cellar Door Trail.
This trail introduces you to producers and products at their source. All local establishments are small and quantity is not their concern. These small industries flourish because of the quality of their produce. Free range eggs, olive oil, native berry jams, smoked fish, sauces ad marinades, regional yoghurts and cheeses, freshwater marron, breads and biscuits. The island is renowned for its honey all of it produced by pure strain Ligurian bees.
Take a food and wine trail today. Unwind on a long, empty road to quality local produce, some of it unique to the island. Returning from a day touring Nicolas Baudin Restaurant and Bar provides the perfect location to enjoy the produce to plate.
Let yourself go and discover the explorer in you.
We look forward to seeing you at Kangaroo Island Wilderness Retreat.
